with severe weather. tornado watches you can see. look at this. i-10 right along the gulf coast, houston to new orleans. and this is just really the beginning of it. we're looking at incredibly severe weather. tornado watches and tornado warnings. tornado warnings meaning these storms have produced rotation and have been detected. you can see right there. so right now it's eastern texas moving into louisiana. kind of to give you a perspective, south of i-20 here is tyler, texas. here's shreveport, louisiana. all of these moving northeast and this is just the beginning of really what could be an inundation of severe weather today and really a rash of tornadoes which is really quite rare for christmas day. so here is a look from houston to new orleans the beginning of the day from now through kind of early afternoon and as we head toward afternoon and into evening, atlanta, birmingham, so dangerous tornadoes, winds 60 to 80 miles per hour, straight line winds could be a factor as well. as well as damaging hail. so you kind of get the perspective and the gravity of this. that is the severe

of a houston hospital. he has been in the hospital since november battling a persistent cough. in houston with the latest. charles, hello. why the move to the intensive care unit in the last day? >> good morning, luke. the spokesman for the bush family said that the former president continues to battle a persistent stubborn fever. in fact the spokesman said late yesterday that the president in fact has been in icu here at methodist hospital in houston since last sunday and has been on a liquid diet since yesterday. he was moved to the icu, the intensive care unit because of advanced age. the former president is 88 years old and because of his weakened condition. he has been in the hospital here since november 23rd when he came in complaining about a persistent cough. last week that turned into a fever and doctors are still trying to figure out the source of that fever. the hospital issued a statement today saying there will be no more updates on the president's condition unless events warrant. we will have to wonder how the president is doing. we hope to get an update perhaps later today.
gray houston is on scene at 19th and minnesota avenue with the very latest. >> reporter it must have been terrifying for the woman who was killed and for all the people who were on the bus and this is the bus right over here, the b2 at the corner right now of minnesota avenue and 19th street. this terrible shooting happened a block away from here and a short time ago a spoke to a young woman who said she was on the bus when the shooting happened. she said that when the shots rang out, all of the passengers yelled out duck, duck and they told the driver go, go, go. now the toddler who was on the bus believed to be younger than 3 years old is being treated for unspecified injuries at a local hospital. gunshots rang out around 5:45 in the evening when metrobus no. b2 had stopped on minnesota avenue at 18th street. the woman and child got on. >> once they got on the bus a male subject followed close behind her and opened fire into the bus. the young woman who is an adult. we don't have an exact age on her right now. she was shot multiple times. the child has some injuries, don't know wh
